The Guatemalan driver of an 18 wheeler that crushed a man at the Western border has been charged.
53-year-old Guatemalan Jose Alfredo Guevara has been charged for manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and driving without due care and attention. He appeared in court today and was remanded until May because he is a flight risk.
On Friday, his 18 wheeler ran over 38 year old Guatemalan Marcus Zabaleta who he got mangled between the wheels. Reports say that Zabaleta may have been sleeping under the truck in the cargo section at the border.
