And today's Senate meeting gave us an opportunity to speak with Business Senator Mark Lizarraga on the new budget for 2018-2019.
The Prime Minister introduced it at last week Friday's House Meeting, and the House will debate it at the end of the month.
The Senator gets it a little longer than that to digest it, but the Business Senator told us this evening, that he doesn't need that entire month to realize that the Government is increasing taxes.
He said that no matter how the Prime Minister spins it, broadening the tax base, is the same thing as increasing taxes on the general public. Here's how he explained it:
