Last month, we told you about the shooting of 35 year-old Reginald Garoy, the Belize City taxi-man, who according to reports, had to jump into the Belize City canal to escape his armed assailant. Well, police say that the shooter was 20 year-old Ezmir Garrido, a resident of West Canal.
He was arraigned today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford on the charges of grevious harm, and use of deadly means of harm. Due to the nature of the offenses, no plea was taken, and Garrido was remanded to the Belize Central Prison. He will be taken back to court for an adjournment on May 16, 2018.
