CEO’s Study Hard How To Use Microsoft
posted (March 21, 2018)
Lovell was just one of very many ministry heads at a computer training session for the Caucus of CEO's. They were learning about the many facets of Microsoft's Office 365.

It's a cloud based platform which the Central Information and Technology Office is using as the backbone for e-government - and today the CEO's were learning to maximize use of it.

The Acting Director of CITO told us more:..

Francisco Gonzalez, Acting Director, CITO
"We definitely want the CEO's to see what they can get out of this platform, Microsoft Office 365 is just like your regular office suite but it is online and it is collaborative. It allows multiple people to be able to use it, it allows you to access documents and anything Microsoft anywhere in the world. It is online cloud based platform."

"A simple example would be like teams, you can create groups of team within your office, assign tasks to people and then you can keep track of what is being done and who is doing it, then you can have Business Intelligence (BI) dash boards that show you who is being more productive in your office and so forth."

"Now Why the CEO's because we want them to be the ones that push it in their ministry, we want them to be the champions."

Dr. Percival Cho, CEO, Ministry of Environment
"We have been using Microsoft 365 for email mostly but what we are learning about today is that the program, the platform contains many apps that are very useful to Ministries and to governments and so the idea being to familiarize CEO's with these apps."

Mike Singh, Chief Technology Officer
"The real long term goal is for us to move towards a more connected government, connected within itself among the different departments but also connected to the public."

Last week, a 3 hour session was held to introduce Microsoft Office 365 to public officers.
