DPL Faber Dismisses Mark King, King Rants, Threatens on FB
posted (March 22, 2018)

The UDP lost the Port Loyola division in the recent municipal elections, and the Party Leader announced that there would be a new standard bearer in there sooner rather than later.

Well, former Lake I area rep Mark King has enthusiastically stepped into the breech.  He's been running an aggressive Facebook campaign  - complete with a video commercial - saying he's the man to save Port Loyola for the UDP.

But, at today's house meeting - just as an aside - Deputy Party Leader Patrick Faber casually dismissed him as persona non grata in the UDP:..

Hon. Patrick Faber - UDP, Collet
"Mark King, which I will tell this nation now; I've seen him putting up things on Facebook and so. He is not a UDP and you don't follow he because he made his errors and the party is out rightly disowning him, so don't make him take no claim. He can't run for UDP."

Well, that didn't go well with King who posted a Facebook rant within minutes of Faber's casual putdown.

King says Faber is "dividing the UDP", and adds that he "is waiting" for Faber, who he publicly threatens, saying, "IT'S GONNA GET REAL NASTY….IF YOU WANT TO LOSE AN ELECTION, TRY BANNING ME….ANY UDP TRY STOP ME FROM RUNNING, I GOT THE GOODS SO HIGH ON ALL OF YOU, IF I'M GOING DOWN, THE WHOLE PARTY GOING DOWN WITH ME…WAIT UNTIL THE FIGHT GET BIG AND I START TO RELEASE THE RECORDINGS AND INFORMATION," end quote….you get the idea.

King took down the post a few hours later, after it had been very widely circulated.  He says he won't apologize to Faber until Faber apologizes to him.

King lost to the PUP's Cordel Hyde by over two thousand votes in the 2015 general elections - the widest margin of defeat ever recorded in a Belizean election.
