Police are still trying to establish a motive in the murder of Roaring Creek resident Alvin Montero. He was chopped to death and thrown into the river. His house was also burnt down - likely to destroy evidence. Police told us the little they know so far on these elements.

"Have you been able to establish when that structure was burnt?"

"We understand it was burnt either the Saturday night or early Sunday morning."

"And based on medical examination of his body can you determine when he was killed or thrown in the river?"

According to post mortem examination the body had signs of at least 2 days that the person had passed away."
2 persons were detained but they have been released.
