Gang Rivalry Led To Mopan Street Shooting

3 city residents - including a minor and a female were injured in a Sunday night shooting. 17 year old Tariq Myles, 27 year old Derrick Pineda and 32 year old Natisha Tillett were hanging out at a Mopan Street house when two gunmen rode up and shot at them. Police say it may be as a result of an ongoing gang rivalry in the area.

"Police were called to the Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital where they saw 2 male persons and a female suffering from various gunshot wounds. The first male person was identified as Tariq Miles, he had a gunshot wound to the right side of his buttocks. The other person was identified as Derek Pineda, he had a gunshot wound to the left calf and Natisha Tillette, she had 2 gunshot wounds to the right foot. What police had gathered so far is that all the above-mentioned persons along with other person who were at a house on Mopan Street, when 2 male persons on a motorcycle and the passenger on a motorcycle pulled out a firearm and fired several shots at their direction causing the above-mentioned injuries to the persons. 2 of them, Natasha and Derek were discharged from the hospital and Mr. Miles is admitted in a stable condition at this moment."

"No one has been detained but police are looking for a suspect for questioning regards to this matter."

"Were any of the 3 victims suspected target of that shooting?"

"Well, this is an ongoing feud between the different gang rivals in that location."

Myles is still in the hospital recovering. Tillett and Pineda have been treated and released. No one has been detained.
