Police have charged 19 year old Mayflower Street resident Christopher Witzil with 3 counts of attempted murder. This is in connection with the Sunday night's Mopan Street shooting where 3 persons were shot including a woman and a minor. Police told us about Witzil's charges.

"For the shooting of Tariq Myles, Natisha Tillett and Derrick Pineda on yesterday date police arrested and charged Mr. Christopher Witzil for 3 counts of attempted murder."
Witzil appeared today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. He was also charged with wounding, harm and 2 counts of use of deadly means of harm. He was remanded into custody until May 30th
The shootings are considered to be related to ongoing gang rivalries in that area.
Now, if he looks familiar, it's because Witzil is the one who the GSU tried to pull when they went into the Mayflower area on that ill fated Sunday intervention. It appears on the video that they went looking for him specifically.
