Yesterday, the Statistical Institute of Belize presented its most recent statistics on the performance of Belize's economic sector. The most anticipated figure is the GDP - which tells us how well or poorly the economy is doing across all sectors.

And for the last three months of 2017, all sectors showed improvement over the previous year. Jefte Ochaeta told the press more:...

Jefte Ochaeta, Statistician 1 - SIB
"For the period of October - December for the year 2017 which is the 4th quarter of the 2017 year. The gross domestic product increased by 2.8% meaning that the economy produced a total of 695.8 million dollars which is an increase of 19.2 million dollars. In this case, the 1.5% contribution to the 2.8 increase was coming directly from agricultural sector. Following that we had electricity with a 0.4% and also other private services contributed positively to the increase of the 2.8%."
