Man Flung From Cycle Found Dead 36 Hours Later
posted (April 3, 2018)
There was a fatal traffic accident on the Phillip Goldson Highway over the Easter Weekend.

The victim was 46 year-old Endhir Guerra, a Bowen and Bowen employee who lives in Orange Walk Town.

After work, he was expected to reach home on the morning of Good Friday, but he never made it. So, his family made a missing persons report to police, and by the evening of the following day, his family and police found his body off the road, where they believe he crashed and died.

Police shared more details with us today:

Wilfredo Ferrufino - Inspector, CIB
"A missing persons [report] was made on the 30th of March to Ladyville, in regards to 1 Endy Guerra. He's a 42 year-old truck driver for Bowen and Bowen. His sister reported that sometime around 3 a.m., on the 30th, she last saw her brother near the Bowen and Bowen compound. Apparently, he had just returned from Cayo, from doing deliveries, and he was to make his way to Orange Walk, where he resides. No one could give account of him the following day. Searches were made, and between miles 28 and 29 on the Philip Goldson Highway, they discovered his body. Beside him was his motorcycle. Doctors conducted a post-mortem examination and concluded that his cause of death was cervico-spinal injuries. This is consistent with trauma to the neck, and is consistent with that of a motorcycle accident."

Reporter
"Is there any evidence to suggest that this was a hit and run?"

Wilfredo Ferrufino
"No, there is nothing to suggest that. He was found about 10 to 15 feet off the highway, and there is nothing to indicate that he may have been hit by another vehicle, or another motorcycle, or anything of that sort."

As you heard, it is believed that while he was on his way, he lost control of the motor bike, and he was flung to his death.
