Crazy Cotton Tree Kidnapping

Belmopan police are investigating a home invasion turned kidnapping which happened on the night of Easter Monday in Cotton Tree village. 

A 71 year-old American retiree, who's been living in Cotton Tree for the last 11 years, was tied up, and thrown in the back of her own vehicle, after 2 men broke into her house to burglarize it. 

The brazen thieves then drove her to Mahogany Heights, where they left her after tying her to a tree.

This morning, the cops shared a bit more details with the press:

"A resident of Cotton Tree, a 71 year old Judith Classen. She was found in Mahogany Heights tied up on a tree, she was found by passersby and she was taken to the police station, there she reported that sometime about 10 pm on Monday 2 persons entered her home, tied her up and placed her in the trunk of her car and took her to that area where she was located. Stolen is a 1996 Geo Prism, that vehicle has not been recovered as yet."

"Sir in cases like these we know its normally expats who are the ones who might be victims of home invasions. Can you speak to the nationality of the particular victim in this case?"

"She is a US national and she has been living in the country or she has been living in Cotton Tree for the past 11 years."

"Has she sustained any injuries and do you have any suspects?"

Wilfredo Ferrufino
"She has minor injuries to her arms. We have 2 persons of interest."

Reporter
"Detained?"

Wilfredo Ferrufino
"Looking, we are looking for 2 persons of interest."

Police say that they are looking for 2 persons of interest. They tell us that the assailants only got away with her laptop computer.
