Saturday is World Health Day and the Ministry of Health is planning a CEO caucus ride. Now the ride is usually to raise awareness about cancer but this year, the message goes beyond cancer. Health CEO Figueroa told us more.

"It is a day that was selected by the World Health Organization. A day to promote and remind all countries and police makers about the overall goal of Universal Health coverage."
"So on Saturday April 7th it is going to be a day where globally people are reminded of this commitment to drive towards universal health coverage the theme is actually universal health coverage everyone, everywhere is entitled to get the necessary health care without incurring financial disaster."
"On that day we are having a CEO caucus ride actually which coincides with the World Health day I don't think we planned it to be that way fortunately it did happen, so it is going to be part of the world health day activities as you may know the CEO caucus is raising funds for Cancer the Dangriga Cancer center and hopefully for other entities, the Belize Cancer Society, the San Igancio Cancer branch and on that day we want to promote not only that but also healthy living and then the Ministry of Health is having a stall at the show grounds to promote world healthday."
