This Dodge Nitro SUV overturned at mile 26 on the George Price Highway may look like just another road accident. But, actually, reports say it was the culmination of a police chase - where the bad guys ended up flipping and getting shot by the cops.
Information is very sketchy at this time, but 7News has confirmed that at least three men were in the Dodge Nitro when they allegedly robbed a delivery truck from Belmopan.
According to unofficial information, after the heist, Police set up a checkpoint on the road - and when they blew past it, the cops shot one of the men multiple times in the foot. The vehicle kept going and police set chase which is when the SUV flipped.
As these pictures show, the ambulance were called while the suspects were handcuffed - and awaiting arrest or transport to the hospital.
We have confirmed that the persons are affiliated with the George Street Gang. They are alleged to have gone on a robbery in the Belmopan. We'll be following this story very closely and waiting for official information from police.
