Woman Sent To Jail For Disrespecting Court
posted (April 9, 2018)
A woman was charged for snatching someone's phone in a fast food joint - but she got into trouble when she tried to pull a fast one on the Magistrate. Today 29 year old Tina Herbert appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser and pled not guilty to the theft charge. Frazer denied Herbert bail and remanded her into custody until Friday, April 13. This is after she tried to blame her son for stealing the phone.

The incident occurred on Friday at Alicia's Fast Food shop on Pitter Street. The complainant, Robert Howard Jr., reported to the police that he went to the shop to buy and when he left the shop he forgot his Samsung Galaxy phone, valued at $600, on the counter. He said when he returned to the shop the phone was missing. He said he met Herbert and she told him that she can get his phone back if he gives her $100. In court Herbert said that she gave the phone to a person to unlock and sell.
