And while that is a form of community healing, there's also help for police. Senior Superintendent Gillett has been working on incentives for hard working cops under his command. Today Gillett announced a new deal with UNO that will allow southside officers to get discounted gas prices, not just in the city but possibly all around the country.

"Uno Service Station across the country is helping out police officers with about 6 and 10% off. Police officers will be able to fill up their tanks at that discounted rate. It is much needed because fuel prices are at a high rate at this time."
"It is all over the country Uno Gas Stations when the deal is completely signed. We are trying to extend it to officers across the country because it is already on social media can we be included in that. We have to incentivize for officers especially on the southside. It is one of the most dangerous parts of the country and we want to say to our officer's not in words but in actions that your work is well recognized."
Gillett also signed an agreement with Brothers Habet today allowing any officer from the Southside of Belize to receive a 15% discount on items purchased at the store.
