Last week we told you about the situation at the Youth Hostel where a group of more than 10 girls went rogue and trashed the place. They locked up the relieving officer in one of the rooms and then ransacked and damaged all the items in one of the female dorms. In the end they destroyed over $12,000 in equipment.
Well, 13 of them have been charged and are being arraigned in family court for it. Today at around 3:00, 7 of 13 young girls accused in causing damages to the Belize Youth Hostel were arraigned on a charge of damage to property.
The seven all pleaded not guilty and were remanded when they appeared before Magistrate Grant in the Family Court.
We understand that two of the 7 were remanded to the Wagner's Facility which is located on the compound of the Belize Central Prison.
6 more young women are expected to be arraigned on the same charge of damage to property tomorrow.
