Freak Storm Scares Crique Jute

The residents of Crique Jute village in Toledo are still shaken after a freak storm hit yesterday afternoon around 3:30. The storm ripped off roofs and struck down trees. It lasted for about half and hour but for these residents who have never experienced anything like this before, it felt like forever. Here is more from the residents.

"About 3:30 there was a freak storm here in Crique Jute Village including the hail falling down and the wind was about 30 to 40 miles per hour. As you will note, there are some tress that fell on the ground, big trees and it was a really strong wind and we didn't expect it."

"Any damages to homes and farms?"

"There are about 3 homes that were damaged. As you note on the way, there's a shop, the roof completely flew off."

Dorina Lara - Resident
"We didn't expect that this will happen to us. This is the first ever in this village. We are surprised to see this damage. It's really damaged for the people."

"We understand that a lady was a here at the creek with you."

Dorina Lara - Resident
"Yes, she is alone by the creek and one of the brother came for her and that's how she reached home."

NEMO officials are on the ground in relief effort mode.
