The War Of Words Between Caleb And The Ministry
posted (April 11, 2018)
The back and forth between activist Caleb Orozco and the Human Development Department continues tonight…this time, the latest salvo is in a letter from Orozco's lawyer.

In it, Leslie Mendez clarifies that two letters were sent to the Department, one on the 4th of April 2018 and another on the 10th of April 2018 - regarding the complaint against the male human services officer. CEO Judith Alpuche says she has only received the April 10th letter. She says she has searched her email thoroughly and can't find it the April 4th letter.

The letter continues by describing the nature of the complaint saying "to be clear, this is a complaint about a human services officer abusing his position for sexual gain. This is a complaint about an officer working in child protective services asking a mother to have sexual intercourse with him in exchange of being reunited with her children." The lawyer continues by saying they have not gotten any update as to this case and they are requesting that update as well as information about the government procedure in these types of complaints.

In regards to contacting the complainant, CEO Alpuche says her department could not get in contact with the complainant with the phone numbers provided. She says they have tried. On one more note, the male social worker in question is on personal leave. CEO Alpuche says moving forward, the department will correspond with the lawyer directly.
