20 year-old Dowellson Blair, a construction worker from Ladyville, is facing a dangerous harm charged for after for stabbing a man on last week Thursday.
The victim is Ladyville resident Douglas Bowen, and up until Monday, he was at the KHMH in an induced coma.
Police shared a few details of the case at their press conference today:
Blair was arraigned yesterday before Magistrate Michelle Trapp on a single charge of dangerous harm. In court, he claims that he was acting in self-defense.
He told the Magistrate, quote, “I was defending myself. I even went to the police and made a report. I told them he assaulted me first and they took me to the hospital.”
Magistrate Trapp granted him bail of $5,000, and adjourned his case until June 14, 2018.
