Man Is Critical After Hit And Run
posted (April 18, 2018)
At around 3:00 on Sunday morning, twenty-six-year-old Christian Charles was the victim of a hit and run. Charles was walking home after a night out, near the Burrell Boom bridge when he was hit by a vehicle, and left for dead on the road.

A driver heading to the village saw him three hours later. He was rushed to the KHMH where he now lies in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. We spoke to a family member today; they want to know who did this to their loved one.

Orvin Haylock, Brother of Accident Victim
"He was in Ladyville my cousin and two uncles were with him but he told them that he was not ready to leave. This was about 12 at night. He said he was going to sleep at my aunts but he apparently never reached. In the morning they called me after 7 they called me and told me my brother was stabbed but it turns out it was a hit and run. The person did not even stop to render aid so that is the situation we are in now."

"He has a broken chest, one of his lungs is punctured, he has two broken legs, 2 broken arms, and he has fractured ribs."

"Still in critical condition clinching for his life and if anybody or the person that did it, come forward. The family is just upset because he did not stop and render assistance."

"We are still asking anybody to donate blood. Any kind of blood we will take. My brother definitely and really truly needs it."

If you would like to assist the family by donating blood you can reach them at 636-4607.
