This morning at the Image Art Factory, Cubola Productions and the Belize Book Industry Association launched a new book in their series called the Belize Literary Prize.
It’s a collection of short stories and poems from Belizeans who entered their writings into the competition. Only the best creative writings are chosen, and this time around, there were so many entries that the publishers had to combine works submitted between 2016 and 2017.
We stopped by the book launch, and spoke with the Association’s President, and the winning writer whose story has become the flagship entry in this edition of the Belize Literary Prize book.

The books will be available countrywide at select outlets for $15. This event is part of the observance of Book Week.
