On Tuesday morning, Dangriga witnessed a shocking, broad-daylight, execution-style murder.

As we told you, 55 year-old Patrick George Crossdale was riding his motorbike toward his home when a man jumped out of the bushes and fired 5 shots at him.

We asked the police about the murder of the Jamaican not far from the Gulisi school, and here's what they had to say about it:

Wilfredo Ferrufino - Inspector, CIB

They proceeded to the hospital and found a 55 year old Patrick Crossdale a resident of the Monument site area suffering from 2 gunshot wounds; one to his back and one to his thigh - he was deceased when police arrived at the hospital. Information was he was traveling on his motorcycle on his way home when an individual exited from the bushes and fired the shots at him which proved to be fatal. That matter is under investigation at this time."

Reporter
"Has it been reported sir that one Mr. Courtney Jackson believes he may have been the intended target of this particular execution? Has that been reported to police?"

Wilfredo Ferrufino
"Not that I know of, that hasn't been relayed to me."
