And in our last story from today's press conference, police shared the details about 19 year-old Herman Solis, who was stabbed by his common-law wife in Sandhill Village.
19 year-old Renesha Alvarez is in police custody for stabbing Solis in the upper left side of his chest near his heart.
Police did not have much to say on the case:
Alvarez has not been charged with any offenses as yet.
Hands To The Plow In Port
The Port Loyola Organization for Women – PLOW has been helping struggling women in the community for years. Well they finally have a proper facility to continue their outreach work. The Government of Belize and Opec Fund For International Development joined up to sponsor their new office. It was officially opened yesterday on Kraal Road and the Director General of OFID discussed the impact PLOW has had and will continue to have on Port women.

There is poverty in education, poverty in food, poverty in health, poverty in energy and we are trying to do our best to work with different organizations and with different countries, like your country to help. I like to highlight the effort of the organization PLOW, I kept following your activities and I think you are doing a wonderful job and without you I don't think this kind of noble work could be achieved, yes give them a big (CLAP) and this is why I am proud to highlight the role of women."
This is part of the overall Southside Alleviation Project between the Government and OFID.
