There's an interesting story coming out of Miami tonight. A Belizean involved in the drug trade who became a criminal informant for the DEA in 1999 - has avoided deportation - because if he comes back to Belize he might be killed.
Steven Reneau also known as "Insect" gave information that led to the extradition requests for Andrew and Floyd Brown in 2005 - as well as other high profile extraditions.
But, he never regularized his status in the US - and in January of this year, he was targeted for deportation to Belize, where he would be a marked man. That is, until a retired Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent intervened.
