Three Belizeans were stopped at the Monseñor Romero Airport in El Salvador for not declaring tens of thousands of US dollars in cash.
They are Marlon Alberto Valle, Jessy Grabiel Ojeda, and Deymy Vanessa RodrÃguez. Ojeda was born in Cayo while Rodriguez and Valle are naturalized Belizeans originally from Honduras. They were caught along with a Guatemalan.
According to the report of the Office of the Prosecutor, they carried an approximate ten thousand dollars each. The names of the three other people were not disclosed.
According to news reports from El Salvador, they will be prosecuted for the crime of "Money Laundering".
