Tour Company Owner Wants Police To Arrest Bus Thief
posted (May 7, 2018)
Early on Friday in Forest Home, which is just outside of Punta Gorda Town, a group of men stole two Blue Bird busses from Romero's Charter and Tours.

The next morning one of the busses was found many miles away by Bladden - it had overturned. The next stolen bus was miraculously returned.

Today, we spoke to Stephanie Romero who says they took a big loss - and they want the culprit arrested and charged:

Stephanie Romero- Romero's Charter Services
"The culprits drove the bus to Independence village and upon reaching Bladen, across from Bowmen's Saw Mill, they overturned one of the 48 seater. Police was called out to the scene and a suspects name was given. So, far no arrest has been made. The suspect returned with one of the buses but the other bus was completely damaged."

Jules Vasquez - Reporter
"You all know who did it, have you all made a police report and has this person been charged?"

Stephanie Romero
"Well my husband has made an official police report and he has given the police the suspect's name and so far nothing has been done. This is from Friday."

Jules Vasquez
"And it is a great loss for you all?"

Stephanie Romero
"Of course it is a great loss because it is over $30,000 down the drain because we cannot recover anything from it. It got extensive damages."

Police did not address the issue at today's press briefing - even though we did request information.
