Wife Not Satisfied With Alleged Killer’s Story
posted (May 11, 2018)
A guilty conscience is a terrible thing. As we told you last night police charged 45 year old Albert Jones for Alaine Garcia's murder. Now normally there has to be a dead body for it to be a murder but in this case Jones allegedly admitted to killing Garcia. He told police he confessed because Garcia was 'haunting him' and it was just weighing on his conscience. But although Jones has been charged, Garcia's common law wife of 15 years, Kellyn Neal is not satisfied. She says Jones' story does not add up. Neal asks how did Jones kill Garcia, chop him up and then dump his body parts in a pond by himself and in broad day light? Neal shared more about her questions and concerns.

Kellyn Neal, Common-Law-wife
"At first I felt satisfied because it is not usual that someone would confess to a murder. But after getting the details of what happened and putting everything together it. I am pleased that someone confessed but it is not adding up because I don't see how that person could have confessed to that and how he alone could have killed Alaine, then he took police to an area which is about half mile from where we lived at the time and that is where he dumped the body so I think he is not the only one involved. I think he may not have done it but he knows because of evidence he gave the police which links him to Alain's murder and disappearance."

Courtney Weatherburne, reporter
"Did you guys actually go check that spot? I don't think you guys have found the body as yet though right?"

Kellyn Neal, Common-Law-wife
"No, when he initially went missing we didn't reach that far so the police went ,when he took the police to where he said he discarded the body, with the help from the Coast Guard and they were searching but because of the time period they said that alligator probably ate his remains."

Courtney Weatherburne
"So at this point the police are telling you guys that you all should give up and pretty much that you are not going to find his body or his remains at this point?"

Kellyn Neal, Common-Law-wife
"Yes that is what they are saying but I just can't give up because Alaine has loved ones and he has confessed but I am still not contended. I feel like something is missing. I think there is more we can find out and more that can be done because when I asked the police if they would give up searching the officer in charge was like pretty much it is a closed case now."

Courtney Weatherburne
"But you simply won't accept that?"

Kellyn Neal, Common-Law-wife
"No ma'am because how could he, if gunshots rang out that time he went missing and then this person who confessed to the murder he is not saying anything about a gun."

"I have more questions than answers."

Courtney Weatherburne
"And this guy, are you familiar with this guy? Do you have the information in terms of why he would want to kill Alaine?"

Kellyn Neal, Common-Law-wife
"Actually the man that has been charged he knows me. He watch me grow up. He is someone who lived in the city before right in the same area I grew up. And I don't really understand why but from understanding, his son, the night before my house got burnt down Alaine and his son had a confrontation. He went to try to kill Alaine, the son and Alaine had beaten him up and took away a weapon from him so the police are saying that is why he killed Alaine to get revenge for his son."

As you heard, it seems there is no hope in finding Garcia's body now, but Neal says she will do all she can to get to the bottom of this case.

Garcia went missing on February 23rd inn Hattieville. He walked his wife to the roadside, and while heading back to their house in the Windmill area, residents heard gunshots. He was seen fleeing for his life, and that was the last time anyone saw him.

He leaves behind 3 kids.
