"So the lawyer for the accused has said it was not the beating that killed Demetrio it was the accident. He also alleged that Mr. Demetrio and his brother were drunk. What is your response to that?"

"If it was because of the accident Mr. Cardona is saying he has evidence but we have evidence on Facebook that we also got so nothing about the accident makes sense when we look at those pictures. One was on the right side threw on the floor and my other uncle was behind the pick up on the floor. If it was because of the accident and they crashed front way I sort of would have believed both of them would have been the front way or something would have happened to them on their face but most of them had bruises, scars, cuts behind their heads. Nothing matched whatever they are saying with the accident. What happened matches to a different incident and a different scene."

"Like I said both parties were drunk I don't know what they were mad and probably thought. I don't know I was not there and I am pretty sure the lawyer was not there. Only they know and that is the truth. If they want to cover the truth that is fine but the truth always comes out at the end of the day. No one can cover anything."

"So you feel your side is definitely the truth because you have strong evidence?"

"I am not saying we have strong evidence but the evidence we have doesn't match with the incident that happened or the way incident is being told."

"Now the charges have been upgraded to manslaughter but would you have wanted that charge to be murder?"

Brittney Molina
"Well at a point I would have wanted it to be murder but I think it kind of has to be manslaughter because they were not thinking when they reacted. Like I said both parties were supposedly drunk and if they wanted to avoid problems they could have talked this out and damages that were done to their vehicle could have been fixed and paid but that was not done they reacted ignorantly and they did not even think about the damage they caused."

A relative of one off the accused men claims the post mortem result shows that Demetrio Pott died from injuries he sustained in a Road Traffic Accident - not a beatdown. Just a few minutes ago police sent the official results which say he died from "Septic Shock, due to multiple organs failure due to a spinal fracture, due to whiplash syndrome. The relatives of the accused men lament that police went ahead and charged the men for manslaughter before seeing this post mortem result.

As for the charge that both parties were drunk, this relative says he was at the scene and neither Westby, Perez or Chan appeared drunk. Tonight, those three men remain in police lockdown and are expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
