On Saturday night in Belmopan three men - one of them masked and with a gun robbed Samsung Restaurant, on Nim Li Punit Street in Belmopan. Police told us they arrived shortly after and set chase but to no avail:..

"On Saturday, shortly after 9:50p.m., police responded to a robbery on Nim Li Punit Street in Belmopan. Upon their arrival, a white in color Ford Escape was seen leaving the area which was pursued by the police and the occupants fired upon the police and the police returned fire and a chase continued to ensue. The police later found the vehicle abandoned in an off road in Cotton Tree Village. The vehicle has since been impounded and the police investigation into this matter continues."

"No, the vehicle did not have any license plate at the time so this is an ongoing investigation."
So far no suspects have been detained and the vehicle had no license.
