And while they have what they believe to be the weapon, San Pedro Police still have not made any arrests in Lipka’s murder. As we told you last night, two suspects are detained - and they were also recently charged for an ammunition offence.
But, the story goes much deeper than that because sources tell 7News that his shooting is being looked at as a professional hit, most likely done by a shooter who was flown onto the island.
They still don’t know why he was killed, but the cops do know that he was a litigant in a recent lawsuit. Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo told the media today that that they are looking for 3 suspects at this time:

"Reference to the shot and death of Mr. Lipka in San Pedro police is continuing their investigation. There is significant progress in the case and we are looking for 3 persons at this moment that can assist in that investigation."

"Are you able to say if his recent court case has any connection to his death?"

"We are not sure but that is one of the points we are looking at as we have other information in regards to him."

"Would you say whether these gentlemen, these 3 suspects are from the island or whether they are from Belize City?"
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"I know that originally they are not from the island but they have been on the island for quite some time.”
Since the shooter never made any attempts to steal anything from Lipka’s business place after gunning him down, the cops have ruled out robbery as a possible motive.
