And while that attack is on the Mayor of Belize’s Capital city - back here in the old capital - police also don’t have any clues as to who tried to torch City employee Sharlene Rudon’s vehicle.
She’s the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Belize City Council - and a Molotov cocktail was thrown at her SUV in front of her home shortly after 6 staffers were fired.
The vehicle was damaged, but not destroyed.
She signed at least half of the termination letters which went out last week Tuesday.
But police aren’t completely clueless on this one: they do have surveillance footage which captured the arson attempt, and they are trying to identify the person caught on camera:
