As we told you, Police believe that the motive for Vargas's death was robbery. All the money he had on him was gone when they arrived. They believe his killer trailed him home:

"He was approached by a male person who fired at his direction hitting him to the back of his head causing the fatal injuries. Police in the area responded and as a result, this matter is under investigation."
"During the investigation police have uncovered that his wallet and other personal items were gone."
"What we understand is that when he finished his sales and packed up he was followed until he reached to his home on Tigris Street."

Authorities say they had two men detained but had to release them due to lack of evidence.
