posted (May 23, 2018)

And there is another violent death in the city to report - but police can't say if the victim was stabbed to death, or if he died in an accident.

8 miles resident Rudolph Kelly Jr. also known "Tuna" died last night. When we spoke to the family this evening they said they had more questions than answers - and police say they have to do their investigation before they rule it a murder or an accidental death.

All we know was that police found Kelly in a crashed car last night around 9:00 on Central American Boulevard. Courtney Weatherburne has the story.

Rudolph Kelly Jr. was found slumped over in this wrecked Toyota Camry on Central American Boulevard. As this picture shows, he was bleeding profusely from the arm - but still alive.  His family says they have no idea what exactly happened to him.

Rudolph Kelly Sr. - Father
"The only thing we know is the first news was that he caught in an accident, not knowing how severe or where or when it happened. So we rushed to the hospital and about half an hour, that is it."

Courtney Weatherburne
"So that is the information you got it that he got in an accident also information is that he was stabbed as well."

Rudolph Kelly Sr.
"Well, that is hearsay, we no confirm that you know."

The post mortem will confirm everything. But the family can't rule out the possibility of murder.
So, as they try to wrap their head around Kelly's death, they have to consider who would want him dead – the family says they know of no one.

Rudolph Kelly Sr.
"Never been in trouble, never been in conflict with anyone, anyone you ask. Have conflict with no one, that is what we think. But obviously, you know, with this incident he probably had something with somebody."

But regardless of whatever problems Kelly was in or not, he was a good son.

Rudolph Kelly Sr.
"Everyday he would be here, he doesn't live here but everyday he comes here, everyday, anytime I want him he comes anytime I want to go to the clinic or any clinic, I call him and he comes, only when he is out of town."

Courtney Weatherburne
"So he was a very loving helpful son?"

Rudolph Kelly Sr.
"Oh yes, oh yes, Oh yes."

Kelly leaves behind 8 kids as well as a number of grandkids.
