Last night, we told you about Police Constable Hector Esquivel who had to be rushed to the San Ignacio Community Hospital after being stabbed by a woman corporal over the holiday weekend. Well tonight, we can report that the female officer who allegedly attacked him is his common-law wife, Corporal Audrey Moody.

Sources tell 7News that she was formally arrested and charged today with 1 count of dangerous harm. She was arraigned before Magistrate La Donna John and reportedly remanded until May 31st.

On Sunday, the couple was at home in the Cayo District, when they had a violent domestic dispute. That's when Corporal Moody allegedly stabbed Constable Esquivel, and he had to be rushed to the San Ignacio Community Hospital in a critical condition.
