Police have been speaking with Jose Zelaya Sr., and his surviving son, plus they say they have two suspects detained.

"So far is it indicative of some grudge of some retaliation for activities in Corozal District or is it that something from Belize City followed him all the way up there? His father said that he always on the run from Belize City from bad men or gun men and from the police."

"No. At this point in time as I mentioned the investigation is still ongoing and we were not able to determine a motive as yet."
