A Comprehensive Mess

Teachers staged a sit - out at Belmopan Comprehensive School today. They are displeased with an administrative change in graduation requirements. Here's more form the BNTU rep:..

Voice of: Daron Gonzalez - BNTU Rep.
"The staff of Belmopan Comprehensive School hereby wishes to offer clarity to our actions over the past few days and to convey our dissatisfaction via a sit-out. This chain of events counts as a direct outcome of decisions conveyed to staff by our school's administration, decisions that will certainly change the landscape for academia and impact the existing standards and specifically the graduation policies of our school."

Voice of: Benita Quetzal - Teacher
"Many of our teachers are sitting out today. Majority of our staff is sitting out today because we are concerned about some of the policies that were being implemented when it comes to the graduation. We find that they were being changed and the policies that we do have are not being followed."

"Ma'am what's next?"

"As I said majority of our teachers are out here we are hoping to get a meeting with the board of management as soon as possible."
