There were two armed robberies in Corozal town yesterday. The first happened at 1:15 in the afternoon at Multi Electra Company on the Santa Rita Road. Two men stormed into the electronics and furniture store - and one of them had a nine millimeter pistol. They stole $500.00 in cash and several electrical items amounting to almost three thousand dollars.
Six hours later, there was an even more audacious robbery at Altamira Supermarket, on Antonio Sosa Drive. The 28 year old female shopkeeper, told police that 5 men barged in and one of them had a handgun. They stole several items including the security Monitor and cash amounting to $2,700.00 dollars.
No one has been detained or charged.
