Financial Literacy In A Real World Scenario

Proper money management… it's probably an area that all of us could probably be better at, and today, the students of Belize High School got a head start how to make prudent financial decisions. The organizers are trying to teach them how to make their future finances bring the best return, so that they can possibly own a home, and live comfortably and within their means entering adulthood.

The BHS program is called "Mad City Money", and the students were put into real-world simulations, and assessed on how well they were able to budget, invest, and save money, as if they were in charge of their own finances. We stopped by and found out that the kids were no slouches. Here's what their principal had to say about the program:

The program is made possible through partnership between the Belize Credit Union League, the Belize High School, and the US Embassy. This is the High School's third simulation.
