Tonight an alleged teenaged killer is on the loose. As we reported on Friday, 18 year old Burns was charged with the murder of Carlton Moreira - which happened on Wednesday. On Thursday, police made it known that the teenager from the Mayflower area was wanted. By Friday morning they had him in custody, and by Friday afternoon, he was charged for Moreira's murder. "Police arrested and charged Jordan Burns. However, it is very unfortunate that whilst he was being escorted to cell block he escaped from police custody and up to now he is at large."
"We are asking the public's assistance that in case you see Jordan Burns to inform or call 911 line and he is considered to be a dangerous person."

"I understand he escaped while being escorted, but was he not in handcuff? What's the situation with that?"

"He was not in handcuff. He was about to enter the building which is the main police station when he ran through the main gate of the police station and escaped. He was pursued, however, he was not captured."

"Any disciplinary charges [to the officer]? I mean the man is a murder suspect and he is allowed to walk without handcuffs."

"That matter is being dealt with internally by the department."

"Is it an oversight? Like if you were there, would you have let an 18 year old murder suspect walk without cuffs in the compound?"

"It's a mistake that was done by the officer."
