Belizean in Texas Caught Trafficking In “Meth”
posted (June 6, 2018)

A Belizean living illegally Texas has been arrested and charged for attempting to traffic 2 pounds of the highly addictive drug, "Crystal Meth".

The Virginia Pilot Newspaper posted an article on it's online news webpage yesterday reporting that Fiorman Eric Gillett, a Belizean living illegally in Houston, pleaded guilty yesterday to 1 count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamines. He is scheduled to be sentenced later this year by the US District Court in Norfolk, Virginia.

According to the Pilot Newspaper, Gillett was on the radar of the Drug Enforcement Administration as far back as February 2017. His alleged trafficking activities were picked up by the DEA, with the help of a confidential informant who reportedly bought drugs from him regularly.

It appears that in March of this year, an "associate" of Gillett reportedly made a mistake and switched the shipping and receiving addresses for the 2 pounds of crystal meth that Gillett intended to have shipped to Norfolk, Virginia. The mix-up prevented this package from leaving the Houston area FedEx facility, and it ended up being seized by us law enforcement.  After that the DEA set up an elaborate sting.  Gillett wound up sending a large volume of product to a DEA source, depositing the proceeds, and was arrested.
