Security Guard Robber Remanded
posted (June 8, 2018)
Last night we told you about Jody Rhamdas, the Supervisor for Brints Security who was ambushed and robbed of two of the security firm's loaded guns. Tonight, police are saying that 35-year-old taximan Erwin Castillo is one of the men who participated in the armed robbery.

Castillo appeared before Senior Magistrate, Aretha Ford where he was read three criminal offenses of robbery with a firearm; conspiracy to commit robbery and kept ammunition without a gun license.

In court, Castillo pleaded not guilty to all three charges but because it was an armed robbery, he was denied bail and remanded into custody until July 25, 2018.

Of note is that Castillo has been before the court on similar robbery charges before - including the First Caribbean Bank heist.
