AS we've been reporting, the re-registration exercise starts next month. That means that all registered voters - will have to go back and re-register. Even if you just registered today, or on the last day of June, you'll have to go back and do it again after July first.
Accordion to the law, A re-registration should be done every 10 years, but it's been 21 year since the last one was done.
Tonight - to put it all in perspective - we have an interesting study in contrasts. We did a really deep dig of our archives and went back to May of 1997 when we sampled public opinion on how they felt about the exercise. Back then, the Esquivel Administration was very unpopular, and there seemed to be a lot of distrust and misgivings about the exercise.
