We kept following up on the story last week about the police officer who pulled a gun on another cop and was not criminally charged - even though court action was requested. Well, yesterday, 27 year old Police Constable, Leonard Albert Benjamin of a Santa Elena Town address was formally arrested and charged for Aggravated Assault with a firearm.
There is credible information which suggests that the police senior command wanted to sweep this one under the rug with a disciplinary charge. The incident was caught on camera and criminal charges were only pursued at 7News reported on what appeared to be a cover-up.
