Shirtless Ladyville Robber Is From City

And police have charged a man for another robbery that happened north of the city. This one was at the Sky Complex in Ladyville on Friday morning. We told you how a trio of robbers worked together to hold up a cashier who worked for a collection company. They grabbed her money bag as she was walking 50 feet over to the Belize Bank. But a brave businessman took on all three men, and at least managed to get back half the money.

He also grabbed the shirt off 21 year old Malik Humes, a resident of 2 Wagner's Lane in Belize City. Humes was caught shirtless on a bus in the Belama area coming down from Ladyville. He was charged with aggravated assault and theft when he appeared today before Chief Magistrate Fraser. He pleaded not guilty and because it is a firearm offence, she remanded him into custody until August 28.

Thirty-three year old Sharona Lamb, the cashier for Mid-town Collection Outlet, located in Sky City supermarket told police that a man came from behind and grabbed her hand bag that had $4,957 dollars. Forty-seven year old Joshua Trapp - who happened to be pulling into the Sky parking lot, saw what happened. He pursued Humes and grabbed him by the shirt - While he was running off, he dropped they bag with money which contained 2,500 dollars.

Humes had two other men waiting on him in an escape car. One of them had a gun which police say they pointed at Trapp.
