A Sunday Morning Shooting On Fairweather

There was a shooting on Fairweather Street on Sunday morning around 10:00 am. A man had just bought some tacos when a shooter came out of a school yard gunning at him. Police told us more:

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino, C.I.B., Belize City
"Nimrod Fitzgibbon, a twenty-seven-year-old resident of Supaul Street. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the left leg. Mr. Fitzgibbon indicated that he had just purchased food at the corner of Armadillo Street and Dolphin Street and was making his way on bicycle on Fairweather Street when he observed an individual in the Queen's Square Primary School. He then heard shots and realized that he was injured. Police have not detained anyone so far and the matter is under investigation. There is no indication that it is gang related at this point."

No arrests have been made.
