There are reports that a woman was killed in a traffic accident on the Phillip Goldson highway this evening.
It happened sometime around 4:00 near at about mile 37 close to Rhaburn Ridge when this blue Chevy Tracker with Orange Walk license plates lost control and flipped. Police found it in the bushes with the top crushed - and one female passenger was dead. She is reported to be from Corozal.
We have received confirmation that it is Leimi Ewan, a surgical nurse at the Northern Regional Hospital. We'll have details on this tomorrow.
