posted (June 13, 2018)

He is accused of killing a policeman at the Raccoon Street Station and 47 year old Marcial Toledo will stand trial for the murder of 49 year old police constable Marvin Locke in the October session of the Supreme Court.

At the end of a preliminary inquiry today, the Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser, committed Toledo to trial.

In March of 2017, Toledo fatally stabbed Constable Locke in broad daylight at the Raccoon Street Police Station.  Toledo waited for Locke at the station, hugged Locke like a friend and then allegedly stabbed him several times in his chest and abdomen. Toledo was subdued by a police officer who struck on his head with a cement block. According to reports, Locke was having an affair with Toledo's common-law wife. Toledo was not represented by any attorney at the preliminary inquiry.
