"Police responded to a shooting at a community supermarket in Calcutta Village. There on arrival, they spoke to the security of the business and he indicated that while standing in front of the establishment, he noticed two male persons approaching the supermarket and their movements were suspicious to him. And upon them seeing him, they fired at him and he returned fire. The two male persons fled the area and in the cross fire Philip Rancharan, thirty-year-old of Corozal, was injured in his right upper leg. The injuries are not life threatening and the matter is under investigation."
No arrests have been made.
