Northern Business Held Hostage On A Ransom
posted (June 18, 2018)
Tonight a businessman from San Narciso, Corozal has been kidnapped - and is reportedly being held for a million dollars ransom.

On Sunday, 43 year old Omero Campos went to his farm - which is off the San Victor Road - and that's the last time he was seen. Police later found his tractor in the field with the key in it. His family believes that he was ambushed and abducted by a group of criminals.

And then, on Sunday night the family got a call from an unidentified, Spanish-speaking person who told them that they had Campos, and were demanding money if the family wants to see him alive once more. Reports are that the phone number carries a Mexican area code.

Because of the very sensitive nature of the case, today Police would not go into any details, other than to say they are aware of the missing person:

ACP Joseph Myvette - Head, NCIB
"One Homero Campos, a forty-three-year-old businessman of San Narciso Village left his home en route to his farm to do work and up to the time of yesterday evening, he had not returned home. His family had received a telephone call and the police have since initiated an investigation into his whereabouts."
