26 year old Neidy Cifuentes was heading to Succotz with her friend Sandra Garcia. Garcia's 9 year old daughter was along with them too. Cifuentes ran off the road and the vehicle flipped-| flinging her into a field where she suffered massive chest and spinal injuries. Cifuentes didn't make it. Courtney Weatherburne went west to find out what could have caused this terrible accident.

"I was over there feeding my rabbits, I was tending to them when I saw a maroon 4 runner so I saw it heading from Cayo going to Benque very very fast."

"Then I looked up and all I could see like it was going off the side of the road and it flipped like about 3 or 4 times in the air."

Joseph Juan lives near mile 71 where the accident happened. He and his father rushed over to help.

"Upon arriving I met one of the occupants of the car seemingly according to what I understand afterwards, is one of the ladies' daughter, and I started asking if she was alright and how much people were in the car."

The little girl, 9 year old Ziyana Tzib was alright indeed, but her mother Sandra Garcia was in a bad way in this bushy field. Garcia's friend, the driver, 26 year old Neidy Cifuentes was also splayed in the field - badly injured and gasping for breath. Information is that Cifuentes was taking Garcia and her daughter to their home in Succotz when Cifuentes ran off the road and flipped. Both women were flung from the vehicle.

Cifuentes aunt says she had just spoken to her on Sunday afternoon, about an hour before the accident. She had no idea that would be the last time she would see her niece.

"She reach and she hug me and she say aunty I love you so much, she looked so happy. She spoke to my son and I asked her Neidy what are you doing? And she said nothing aunty I just feel happy and I come see you tell you hi, she say please can I borrow some bags and I gave her the bags."

"She only blow the horn and she say bye aunty."

"One hour later, me and my husband went to the border to look for my mother in law and then when we were going we notice a vehicle was on the side of the road, I had a feeling and I ask my husband look, that car look just like Neidy one and he just tell me I think it is a taxi and I never imagine that happen. But when I come back from border, one of my cousin call my daughter she say they just call her and tell her that they just took Neidy to the hospital because she was in a bad accident."

Cifuentes died at the hospital. Now it is not clear what exactly caused the accident but her aunt says she was drinking when she had gone to see her.

"It is really hard to say this but she was drinking, she had a beer in her hand and that is why I come out and I wanted to stop her so she doesn't drive because I know she had that little girl. But she didn't wait to let me tell her anything, she was drinking but I hear they say it was a tire that burst."

"I don't know what to think, I don't know what is the real truth that happened we just…I don't know what else to say."

"Neidy was a friendly, loving, caring person if anyone get in trouble, she goes to save everybody. If anybody wanted to fight with us, she would go to defend us as we were kids, she was like that with anybody, friend, family, anybody."

And just as Cifuentes was there for all of them, her relatives will have to be there for her 3 young sons.

"We will need to be strong for our nephews because now they need us more than ever now that their mom will not be with them."

Our information is that Garcia is critical at the Belmopan hospital, while her 9 year old daughter is okay. Today police could not confirm exactly what caused the accident. As you heard Cifuentes leaves behind 3 sons.
